Kids kindle fire's....keep breaking down!

Bought my two kids a kids kindle fire for Xmas. Set them up before Xmas day and they were fine. On Xmas morning my daughter's wouldn't switch on,charged it for hours and nothing even with the reset thing. So....today,we have been set 2 replacement kindles and now neither of their kindles are working at all. It's like the chargers zap them or something?I have tried different chargers/different plugs. They just seem to die on us.
I think I'm going to ask for a refund as this is getting ridiculous.
Are there any other decent tablets for kids out there?I've never had a problem with my iPad or my own paper white kindle.

That is strange. I have 2 kids kindles and don't have that issue. Mine hold charge for a good while. Are you charging using the amazon chargers?
