Evening all,
I had a search earlier but couldn't find any threads like this, hoping I've put this in the right place...

I've heard of ted talks and had a look at the site, but it seemed quite hard to navigate from my phone, I'd really like to do something with my evenings in 2017 that doesn't revolve around Netflix box sets and was wondering if anyone can recommend some ted talks to watch instead?

I found Monica Lewinsky's talk really good.

Susan Cain who wrote 'Quiet' gave a talk about introverts.

There was a good one about orgasms.

A guy gave a five minute talk about what went through his mind as the aeroplane he was on crashed into the Potomac (sp)

Sorry I'm being a bit vague but I think these are all searchable. You could also start with their lists of most popular by category, if they still have them. Love Ted Talks.

Jill Bolt Taylor is a neuroanatomist that had a stroke. Her Ted talk is quite remarkable.

I also enjoyed David Blaines account of how he trained to break the world record for holding breath underwater.

Good idea for a thread. I liked Raoul Martinez's talk Creating Freedom (though was then inspired to buy his book - sadly it appears he said pretty much everything he had to say in the 20 minute talk!)

Loved many already mentioned - especially Susan Cain on introverts as it resonated with what I think about all my wonderful introverted pupils.

Esther Perel is very interesting on relationships and infidelity.

There is also an excellent one on the power of failing by an eminent scientist whose name escapes me.

So many more ... I love getting lost in TED talks on a Saturday afternoon.

David Byrne did a good one on how venues have shaped music over the last few hundred years.

Also recommend Brene Brown (both talks) and Amy Cuddy's talk.
