Tablet recommendation

I want to buy DH a new tablet for his birthday
He currently has an Amazon Fire. I think it was one of the first ones
It's annoying how much it is linked to Amazon so I think I will be looking at an android
9 or 10" preferably and between £100 and £200

My 2 kids have samsung galaxy tabA tablets which seem good. Prior to that they had the galaxy tab2 tablets (they still work after 3 years but we upgraded them to tabA)
