How to manage contacts from iPhone and desktop??

So, having just left a 'proper' job and gone freelance, I've got an iPhone (with 95% of my contacts in), a google account (with sweet FA in but which I use on the laptop for all my work emails) and an excel spreadsheet of old Outlook contacts. Oh wise ones, how can I create a single Contacts file that I can easily update and use on my phone but that also translates onto my desktop when using gmail / outlook????

Oh - and an Outlook account which is so far, only specifically for 1 client that I am working for
