As a dedicated Apple enthusiast I just HAD to buy one ... Err despite the fact that I've not worn a watch for about 30 years

I've got iPads, macs and iPhones so obviously needed to complete the family! I've got for a sports one because I'd like it to replace my heart rate monitor which I find annoying with the chest strap. I'm no athlete but do some running as and when so I'd like to see calories burned and my HR so am hopeful it'll track that ok

I also work in an environment where you are not allowed your phone on you ( although I usually have it secreted about my person! ) so it'd be good if I could surreptitiously check notifications under the guise of checking the time

How are you finding it ? I ordered it on pre order day and have had to wait all this time

I'm drawn to the Mickey Mouse watch face! What one do you have?

I ordered it in pre order day, which was a couple of days after my 40th birthday! We were staying somewhere with very slow wifi so I've got no idea how we managed to get it on launch day.

I have the Mickey Mouse one. I prefer an analogue watch and found this the most interesting.

I love using it when I run and having the health rings is addictive.

It's great being able to get text messages without having your phone about your person too.

Me too Nicki. I went for the 42mm size after some deliberation which bumped it up a little bit to £339. I also went for the pink strap but now wish I'd gone for black so may order another strap so I can chop and change

At this rate I should have just bought the £13,500 one.

Do you not need your phone near you to receive messages?

You need to be close ish to it.
I live in a regular 3 bed semi and I get my messages anywhere in the house and about 15 feet into the garden. You know when you are out of range because a little red phone pops up at the top of the screen.

I've not used a Fitbit or and other smart watch so I don't know how they compare.

Oh I dunno. If I compare them to a normal watch then yeah, they're not great. If I compare them to a sporty / smart watch then they are DREAMY
