Which compact non-fancy sub-£50 camera should I buy?

Photo's taken on my iPhone aren't as good - bit blurry, not good detail - as I had hoped so I'm looking for a camera to supplement it. What would you recommend please? One of those slim little ones that would fit in handbag/pocket and below £50. TIA.

£50 isn't a lot for a camera. My DDs both have Fujifilm cameras that were about £50 and they are good value for £50. You will get limited zoom and slow shutter response, so it's difficult to get snaps of moving targets or things that just last a moment.

Which iPhone do you have? You won't find a compact for less than £50 that's better than the camera on a 4S or later IMHO.

Canon do pretty good cameras. Is there something wrong with your phone camera? It's very unusual for good quality phones to have rubbish cameras. Even my ancient nokia took lovely snaps!
