Notes have disappeared off iPhone but are still on iCloud

Hi everyone,
I noticed last night that all my notes except 2 have gone off my iPhone, I logged into iCloud and they are all still there. I'm not sure how I get the notes back from iCloud on to my phone. I've gone on to the Apple forums and it suggests that you can't sync notes. It seems odd that not all the notes have gone, that 2 randoms were left!
I noticed this morning my contacts had also gone, but by going to settings-iCloud-contacts they have come back.
Do you know how to get the notes back onto my phone, and also why they (and my contacts) would have left my phone anyway?

Now randomly some of my contacts have disappeared, again they are on the iCloud but not on my phone.

Assuming you have iOS7, if you do the following you should be OK. It may not be the slickest way of doing it but it should work.


SETTINGS >>>>> iCLOUD >>>>> double check your iCLOUD ACCOUNT is correct.

SETTINGS >>>>> iCLOUD >>>>> toggle CONTACTS ON

SETTINGS >>>>> iCLOUD >>>>> toggle NOTES ON

SETTINGS >>>>> NOTES >>>>> DEFAULT ACCOUNT >>>iCLOUD>>>make sure this is checked

SETTINGS >>>>> MAIL,CONTACTS,CALENDERS>>>>>iCLOUD>>>>>make sure everything you want is toggled on.

This is great thank you, it has sorted my notes out straight away. It was the settings - notes - default account that sorted it.

It hasn't sorted the contacts tho. Very strange.

SETTINGS >>>>> MAIL,CONTACTS,CALENDERS>>>>>
Scroll down to contacts and check the default account is iCloud
