help with itunes/ ipod

hello everyone

my laptop is pretty much dead so to update my iPod we downloaded iTunes onto dh laptop and moved most music onto it.

what we need to do it is move all the playlists already set up from iPod to iTunes new download so they are not lost - anyone know how to do this? . also some films are missing, any ideas how to find them?

is there a way of seeing how many song tracks are on the new version of iTunes? we want to make sure we have everything before we sync the iPod with the new version of iTunes so we can update it.
