Can you buy one contraption to dock an iPod and also get radio and internet so you can stream music from one of those free sites?

If its an iPod touch you can get radio apps.

You can get radio stations via iTunes, which you can stream via a docked ipod touch, or as oodthunkit says you can get radio streaming apps. There's a specific BBC one, and I also used TuneIn, which is free and has loads and loads of stations. There are lots of others in the App Store too.

Thank you.
That is so helpful.
I am basically still in vinyl mode.

moondog I have a snazzy new bedside light/clock/radio/iPod or phone dock and charger. It has an alarm, and the light will start to come on gently just before the alarm. I can stream music through my phone and it plays on the dock/light/clock. I am amazed Grin
It was £60.

I use Tune In too. Great for listening to stations back in the UK, along with the BBCs iPlayer.

What's your budget? IMHO Bose ain't that good. A British company called B&W make a couple of different sized systems. Their sound quality is awesome. They're not cheap though but pretty to look at. The latest version (Zeppelin Air) does it all wirelessly, so you don't even have to dock the device.

Dh has a dock which streams Internet radio (last fm is what he uses). He does use radio apps to eg listen to radio 4/world service , but at home and for music he listens via Last.fm instead of any particular radio station. I got it from the Apple store, and was about £150 ish.

Natural light/awakening alarm clocks are ace too - we have one of those, but it pre-dates our iPods so isn't a dock as well, just a radio/alarm clock

Um, would assume so I don't do radio, and unable to listen to music as dd1 won't let me, so clueless on this really. But I would assume no different from Last.fm - need a subscription etc then tune in/set up and away you go.

For that read: have had to learn some stuff because dd1 needs an iPad, and dh is incapable of doing anything without it blowing up. So down to me to keep stuff updated, and abreast of technological advances

Hello Thether. How lovely to hear from you.
Last time we talked you were pregnant.
How old is the baby and what did you have?
Are you keeping abreast of sartorial developments still?
