I'd really like to get my two grown up DC iPads for Xmas but they are way off my budget. What comes close in what they do? Everyone I ask in RL comes up with something different and I'm now well confused Confused

Budget around £200 max.

any geeks/knowledgeable MNers can help?

Nexus 7 is within your budget, DH has just bought one and absolutely loves it (he also has an iPad)

Sorry, I've just realised the bit I added in brackets sounded like a stealth boast Blush What I meant to say was: having used both devices, he said he actually prefers the Nexus

Wow Fringe... that is useful advice... is it the 7in screen?

I agree, the Nexus 7 is probably your best bet.

But as mentioned in the other thread, try to get the 32GB version. The 8GB is outdated and unless you are getting an absolute bargain, the 32GB will stand you in better stead when putting apps/music on them

32G? I've only seen 16 on reviews.

blackberry is a whole other thing to think about.

Nexus 7 32GB Hot off the presses and just released.

The Blackberry Playbook is technically a superb little tablet. But it just doesn't have the support out there and is the equivalent really of buying a betamax video recorder.

I got Mororola Xoom for my daughter and she loves it
I think apart from slightly bigger screen than nexus - 8'2'' it also has a slot for a mini SIM card which Nexus doesn't
