Can I save his iPod shuffle??

Dimwit DP left his shuffle, earphones and gym key in his pockets when I washed his gym gear.

I've put it straight into a tub of rice and plan on leaving it there for about a week.

They will live, won't they??

They may well be fine provided you've not switched them on, I believe.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, I'm afraid. There's more chance if it wasn't on at the time, but there's no guarantees.

It was switched off. I haven't touched anything. I just fished them out the machine and straight into some dry rice.

His own fault if they don't work again. I've lost count how many times I've told him to check his pockets before putting anything in the wash! harsh woman I am
