iphone apps for a 3 year old?

I need to occupy DD on a flight for nearly 24 hours. Currently the only app I have on my iphone is Elmos Monster Maker - she loves it.

Can any one recommend any more apps that will keep a 3 year old occupied for at least 10 minutes?

Ice cream maker (it's called Ice cream! I think)
Thomas the tank engine (they are really great apps with stories and puzzles)

Teletubbies

Ooh Thank you. DD loves Peppa Pig. I did some reviews that mentioned annoying adverts in them that stalled the game. Have you had this problem or may be it has been fixed now?

DD2 loves Talking Tom and his various little friends and squeals when he talks back to her in his squeaky voice.
She can play Angry Birds & Fruit Ninja and these keep her going for quite a while. Not exactly educational or aimed at her age group but probably that's not your priority after 15 hours of 'Are we there yet?'

Not sure if you've done long distance before? I have some limited experience- we flew from London to Vancouver a month after DS third birthday (last year) and although I know it's only half the flight time, we found (despite having Lego, new toys, books, pens, stickers etc) that all he really wanted to do, after initial novelty of take-off and meal, was watch in flight movies on the childrens' channel. He did have a short break from them, but basically watched them until he fell asleep. He slept thru landing! Also- just an aside, I only started toilet training about three months prior and knew he wouldn't be able to wait if there were queues so he travelled in pull up pants. He was fine with it and actually asked to use the loo (more novelty!)
Good luck- I totally empathise, as was having kittens at prospect of 10hr flight with him. In the event his 14mth old sister was harder work...

This will be DD's third trip to Oz. The first at 3 months was easy. Last time she was 20 months. That did take some serious entertaining. There was not much of the in-flight movies that she could watch. This time we will take a laptop with several of her favourite DVDs, some new books and games.

DD has been toilet trained for a year. She is usually good at saying with enough warning about needing the toilet

I know the flight will not be fun. But it is only 24 hours of my life and if DD is really bad, well we are unlikely to ever meet anyone on the flight again.

Peppa pigs party is brilliant. We have angry birds too and fruit ninja. Some of the colouring apps are good too. There is also a couple of free toy story apps which aren't bad. Apart from peppa I only do the free apps and if you look in the kids section there are lots of counting ones, phonics and random animal ones that make noises. We have an iPad and I also downloaded a few movies. Ice age is good value.

My dd nearly 4 has had great fun with

She has played these for about 10 months and loves them. Also check the amount of memory you have on your phone, as if you have enough you can download from iTunes some videos for her. I have about ten cartoons on my phone for her, ranging from mickey mouse, jake and the neverland pirates, peppa, pooh, Charlie and Lola etc. They do cost money, but I have found them invaluable!.

My dd has no problem watching the same episodes over and over again, so the cost of buying them initially has brought me hours of peace when I need it!

I also made a playlist of music for my dd to listen to and bought a volume limiting kids headset so she can safely listen to music and stories that she likes without damaging her ears. You can upload some CDs on to your computer for enr and sync them to your phone as a playlists. I have two playlists now for her..one is music and the other is full of short stories.
