My HTC Desire mobile phone has just had a system update. Now when I go on sites such as Mumsnet the wording does not adjust when I zoom in. So for example, when reading a post I have to scroll right to read the end of the sentences.

Can anyone help? Please

If you get no answers, you might try downloading a java app called Opera Mini (if available)

Opera is another browser which has been available in different versions for over 10 years (they used to charge a fee but Opera became free after the firm's tenth birthday, and their browser for mobiles brought in income from the various mobile firms using it in millions of phones and paying some [small, perhaps] licencing fee for each one).

Opera Mini has zoom and can be forced into 'landscape' view all the time (at least on my oldish Nokia N80 mobile).

Hope someone comes along with a 'proper' solution for you though.

What NetworkGuy said.

Also worth noting that there's Opera Mobile as well as Opera Mini (why Opera make two almost identical products I am not sure). I think Opera Mini is aimed at lower end hand-sets, whereas your HTC should be able to run Mobile.

Here's a link to the Android version my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/2010/11/09/opera-mobile-goes-android

Oh thank you both so much! Will give it a go tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Fingers crossed.

If it has wi-fi it may be best to download while in range of home router so you don't use up monthly download allowance (Opera is a few MB and some networks charge up to 2 pounds a MB)
