How can I transfer contacts from HTC magic to iphone?

Anyone know how I can transfer my contacts from my HTC magic to my shiney new iphone? Have tried the 'import from sim' option but doesn't work. Any ideas?

Sync your contacts with Outlook or Windows address book then set iTunes up to sync your iPhone contacts to it

Thanks Niceguy but I have NO IDEA how to do this.
When I connect my HTC to my computer I don't seem to get any options to do this?
Please can you come round to my house and do it for me?
Or failing that, just let me know a couple of pointers?
I'm blaming my shitey HTC completely for all this hassle
