Kindle 3g of wi-fi?

Basically my parents have given me 100 pounds as a birthday/christmas present. I know i want to get a kindle but i have no idea which one to get...Obviously the 3g one would need me to put in some of my own money, the wi-fi not so much.

I am quite organised so i think i would manage not to run out of books at a crucial moment. Apart from downloading anywhere does the 3g have any benefits?

I know it has a internet thingy but is it a bit crap? I don't have a smart phone but still don't think i would use internet that much.

I've had a kindle for a few months and have never downloaded a book other than at home

the internet thingy is really crap Wink so personally I'd go with the wi-fi and use the extra £40 for something else

Get the wifi one and have the money left over to spend on books. I've got the wifi one and its fine. Unless you think you're going to be on holiday somewhere for weeks with no wifi and may run out of boos while away. Or just be organised and download enough before you go. Believe me you won't be using the web browser.

you are all sayign what i was thinking which is good Xmas Grin

The only place i go for a long period that doesn't have wi-fi is the in-laws, but they don't get phone signal either so 3g would be pretty useless.

You can browse the web on the kindle too on the 3g one, which may or may not come in handy at some point?
