Micro SD card for DSi

Again, this is an area I have no clue about.

I don't want to download illegal games (too chicken for that) but I was told that my son would need one of these if he wants to download music.

He did have one for the DS, but all we have left from the kit is the Micro SD adapter. The original kit was bought for me by one of my more IT-literate friends.

Was hoping someone would be able to tell me exactly what I would need to buy.....or should I just get him an Ipod Grin?

Thanks

if you've got the adapter, then if you google exactly that 'micro SD' then you'll get the right thing?

You just have to decide how much memory you want I think. (not a professional, but have got a DS and micro SD in it)

I haven't tried downloading music to my DSi but it sounds like a PITA Smile

You may find 2 GB up to 16 GB or 32 GB (up to 4 GB usually under a tenner)

Do be aware that above 8 GB (I think) the cards are now likely to be SDHC (SD High Capacity ?) and there are different USB adaptors as the technology is different, so you may be restricted to 2 or 4 GB.

NB I do not have a DSi (nor PS2, PS3, XBox etc)... Just going from what I have seen (I have used 2 GB micro SD with a USB adaptor and in a mobile phone, and wanting more storage spotted the SDHC differences.

Meant to add that I bought on Ebay from a UK firm - can check for their name if it helps you. Google shopping may show other online stores such as Amazon, SVP.co.uk, Scan.co.uk, Ebuyer.com, etc with micro SD cards.

From time to time there have been web-only deals from asda.com (much cheaper than in my local Asda in their photography section).
