iphone frozen

help - what do i do - iphone wont do anything and screen is frozen

i received a text, tried to slide across to unlock phone and wouldnt work

tried to turn off by pushing top button and now screen is frozen saying text from friend and missed call in lighter/blurry letters on screen iyswim

and bottom of screen says cancel and top slide to unlock

but it wont do anything

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

please help

Press both the top button and the home button, keep pressed down.

Should reset it. Then you can turn it on again normally.

the horse aka woofa is at my feet chewing a pigs trooter with relish

hmmmmmmmmmmmm, i did that and then tried to turn on and just got glowing apple on screen and doesnt do anything else

is my phone broken

The glowing apple could glow a bit longer than usual if it is restarting.
