Would really like to have some over winter veg growing in the sliver of veg plot but it needs some serious work on soil condition having had a very maggoty loganberry bush ignored in it for decades. it has been properally dug over but planning on putting some nutrients back (either growmore or rotten manure depending) but by the time this will have been sorted it will be mid october (serious work in rest of garden) Is it going to be possible to grow veg this year after the work or is it just best to leave the soil to rest this winter and do over winter veg next year?
Advice needed and appreciated.
