Forcing rosebuds for a show at weekend

I want to try and put in a flower arrangement to the village show at the weekend. I am good at flower arranging but poor at gardening! This is going to need imaginitive use of every last bloom in the garden.

I have a climbing rose with a few measly lingering flowers, and a few last buds (just starting to show petals). Is there any way of accelerating the buds to open - suppose I picked them and put in warm room/warm water?

Also there are a couple of flowers just right, just now, would it be worth putting them in the fridge till Saturday so they don't go over?
