any one know about this?
would it be worth converting to a few squares now?
what would you plant?

yes, it works well - how I started out. You do have to watch out that you rotate crops properly. You could try some onions (the sort you plant in autumn) or cabbage or winter lettuce.

japanese onions - I learnt this from this thread which may give you some other ideas. Also, this link from the other thread gives specific varieties of things to plant nowish.
