Leaning towards cast iron with teak seats but would like to know your thoughts on pros & cons
My only pro is rats can't nibble it Confused
I've never bought garden furniture before, it's quite expensive so I'd appreciate your advice

Never heard of that, do you mind if I ask where you got it from @Dora26

Cast iron is uncomfortable - even with teak seats the back will be uncomfortable to lean on.

I have light folding chairs with finely woven grey plastic stuff - might be what Dora is talking about, nice to sit in for ages. Then elsewhere we have teak garden benches, not quite so comfortable to relax into with a book, but perfectly OK for eating a plate of lunch.

And a stone bench which is OK for perching on for five minutes.

Weather-proof is good - you use seats far more if they don't have to be got out every time you use them. It's nice to wander outside for 5 mins with a cup of coffee and sit on a seat, doesn't seem worth the bother if you have to get the seat out of a shed or from under its cover.

Hi OP, I am in Ireland but any garden furniture place should have them. I was tipped off that they were what all the pubs use in the beer gardens ie look well with minimal care hth
