We're going to put a permanent gazebo up on a decking area. We currently have a glass and aluminium table that stays out in all weathers and gets jet washed each Spring which we may keep for sheer practicality but neither it nor the chairs are very lovely.
I fancy a vintage look table, cast iron legs and zinc or marble top but don't want to pay several hundred for it!
Can anyone recommend a really good outdoor furniture supplier please - I don't want rattan

I can’t help as we have rattan furniture, but following as we are looking to do something similar. Do you have the decking already or will it be laid at the same time you build the gazebo please?

Following for interest. We're thinking of a large umbrella over a similar set up. So far had little success with Ikea and Homemade websites and not sure where to look!

We bought ours a couple of years ago. I was adamant I wanted wood as I dislike metal furniture.

Needless to say we got metal. (It was the right shape and size). It stays out all weather. Doesn't need covering at all. Dries really quickly. We do have cushions which we put away- but often we don't bother with them. We got a parasol too and have used that on only a handful of occasions.

We bought a cast aluminium set last year, there was not a lot of choice. Perhaps they’re not very fashionable at the moment because of the limited choice it was expensive.
A cheaper way might be to look for second hand, even for the legs. Sometimes you can also get ‘marble’ off cuts from kitchen suppliers to make a top.

Meant to say ours was made by Lazy Susan. They might have a clearance sale.

@Rosiepamplemousse we already have the decking and are hoping it will look a bit like this picture (in my dreams!)
Thanks for those who gave furniture recommendations, I think I'd prefer metal but want it be comfortable enough not to faff with cushions although I don't know how waterproof it will be under there maybe we could leave cushions out

That looks fabulous. I can’t decide if we want our gazebo with a roof or not. Thanks for the picture - it will help with my deliberations

@Rosiepamplemousse we need a roof as it's under a tree and the table always gets covered in bird poo plus I want to be able to sit out there in the Great British weather if we have to stick to rule of 6/ outdoor entertaining. I'm planning on putting heat and light in there.
It's not always easy to attach pictures on this site but here's the one I wanted to put on (although I think it actually has an open roof it just looks gorgeous!)

For these who were following, I've found these which I rather fancy in a few different colours

Disclaimer: The table and chairs were bought after I had had a year with cancer with a very uncertain outcome, we bought it and loved it, and then the F**it goblins got hold of the household credit card and bought the wine chiller for me for my birthday a month later. Grin

They have paid for themselves over and over again.

We have a smallish but lovely garden and we are not overlooked,so on a fine day, we go out there for coffee, and read and then have a beer and maybe a snooze, then we will take dinner out there, or do something on the BBQ and then light the chimenea or the fire pit.

Probably outing myself here, but following my ill health five years ago, I can't really eat very much, so we are happier mooching at home, with books and beers and wine.
