What is this & what do I do with it?

Youngest dd (7) planted a bean at school. She has no idea what bean, and I have no further info. I dutifully bring it home & pop it on the windowsill fully expecting nothing.
It's gone wild!!! Clearly it needs a support. Shall I plant it outside? Will it grow anything?

I think the Royal Horticultural Society has a plant identification section.

Move it outside, loosely tie it to a bamboo stake. Don't forget to chop it down before the giant starts getting a sniff of your blood.

I did joke about the giant to dd smile

I think it might be a broad bean ...

Ooh I'd be overjoyed if it was. I love broad beans & frozen ones just aren't as nice smile

I'm pretty certain it's a broad bean op, I remember DS coming home with one about 30 years ago!

Other beans (French or runner) have heart-shaped leaves so I'm convinced now it's a broad bean!
