Clearing dry stone walls

I have a lot of dry stone walls in my new garden, they are retaining walls.

The garden hasn't been looked after properly for about 10 years. They are covered in weeds (some dead) I have been pulling the weeds off by hand but the walls still have some residue, mainly roots of dead stuff.

Should I use a pressure washer? I assume that weedkiller wouldn't work at this time of year?

I really do think they would look amazing if I could clean them up. Thanks!

I would be extremely wary of using a pressure washer in case it washes too much earth out and destabilizes the wall

Soda crystals work on moss and weeds. Dilute them in warm water then use a watering can to apply to the face of the walls. Do this on a dry day. Within a few days it will go brown. Use a stiff brush - something like a scrubbing brush - to clean off the dead stuff.
