Ideally one where you just point your phone at the plant in question.
But, if not, something where you can up.oad a photo and it will tell you what it is?

Well - I've been having fun!
I didn't download the Garden Tags app or the Plant Snap one as you have to pay for them (and I only have one plant to identify)..So I tried the free apps.
iNaturalist tells me it doesn't know!
Picture This gives me three options, one of which does sort of look quite a bit like my plant
Another one says it's not confident enough to make a recommendation but comes up with 10 suggestions.
And iPlant tells me it's a houseplant 
!
Maybe it's time to head over to the Gardening section of Mumsnet!

Ah - started a new thread for that (with satisfactory photos I hope 
) and NanTheWiser determines plant’s likely ID.
