I bought this for £2.00. It actually labelled ‘shrub’ even the plant label has pictures of a variety of things. I was going to wait for it to flower and have a surprise but I can’t!

Oh, that would be lovely! I seem to recall they are very nicely fragranced. It would make £2.00 a good investment.

I’d second Philadelphus. They grow reasonably quickly, eventually you can keep it in check by pruning, but not for a couple of years yet!
Make sure it’s well watered, so that it can establish its roots.
