Wasp nest?

I think it's a wasp's nest, too. Get council or professional help - don't let it get bigger over the summer or you'll end up like us - unable to use the shed (in my case, the bloody house, it was in the roof) - spending £400 plus quid and having to dismantle structure (living room ceiling) and having a freakin' nervous breakdown.
Just sayin'. Grin

It's a wasp nest but only just starting off. At this stage you can buy a spray to deal with it. (I had exactly the same)

Paper wasp. Buy a can of wasp killer spray. Cover up even your face hands etc and spray away? Be ready to get out of the shed fast and shut the door. Eventually break off the nest as wasps recolonize old nests.

Buy wasp powder from a hardware shop/garden centre. Cheap, quick and easy to use - apply in evening when wasps returning to nest.

The nest in the left of the pic looks a bit tatty - is it an old one or can you see activity in it now?

I didn't use spray. I used a gardening tool to knock it off and wore a hoody with the hood up! There were just two coming and going.

Afterwards I looked at it - really amazing how they made it.
My son took it to school to show his teacher!

I've had two hornets nests so far this year, in two different sheds. You can buy a spray to kill them. Best to do it before it gets bigger and you have hundreds of wasps or hornets.
