I like plants that sway in the breeze - any recommendations?

I love tallish plants that sway gently in a breeze and catch the wind. My favourite (and only!) is verbena bonariensis. (Photo attached).

Could anyone recommend any others especially perennials as I'm trying to build up my stock and plug the many gaps in my borders.

Oh thanks, I'd forgotten about grasses. I do have some large bamboo in pots

I've just looked up stipa gigantea which looks good with verbena. Just spotted another one, perovskia/Russian sage which looks good.

Yes to stipa gigantea! And we have black bamboo, which is non.invasive; trim off lower branches to reveal black stems, which start green but turn black following year.

I managed to get to the garden centre on my own today. It was lovely to have a good browse without distractions. Plus it was really quiet as I went at 5pm. Bliss.

They didn't have many grasses at all <sad face>. I did see another plant - Veronica/speedwell which would fit the bill too.

I do have some bamboo but in large pots - phyllostacus aurea (sorry about spelling). I'd love some black bamboo though ferguson have you planted it in a border? And if so did you use a root barrier?

If you can get hold of it a grass called quaking grass is lovely, not very tall but delicate and fits in well with most schemes, not as invasive as some grasses but will seed about.

Corn Cockle (Agrostemma githago) although it will selfseed everywhere!
