Garden Furniture Recommendation?

Shortly due to be moving into our house and having previously living in flats we do not own a garden furniture set.

We will now have a big patio and would like a 6 seater set to last us the summer of family coming round to visit when I am on maternity leave.

We had a set picked out but unfortunately due to lack of funds (See other thread), we can't afford to spend much at all.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a set cheaply?

The cheapest I have found on Robert Dyas seems to be around £270. I just assumed that a plastic set would be cheap, but haven't found anything and there doesn't seem to be anyone getting rid of second hand sets locally on the selling pages on facebook or ebay.

I replied twice and my phone ate both attempts Angry Trying again on the pc!

If you can hold off until next weekend there should be some good deals advertised in the run up to the Bank Holiday. I'm thinking Wilko, B&Q, Asda, Tesco, Argos etc. It's the retailers' last ' price event' to shift some of the bigger outdoor items before the summer sale arrives in July.

I've checked Wilko and they do a 6 seater set for £100 with good reviews. Also one at £150 and one at £200 (the latter has reclining chairs I believe). They also have a 6 seater wooden set for £175 which is a pretty competitive price for a wooden set Smile

All are well reviewed and have folding chairs so you can pack them away in the shed or lean them up against the table and stick a cover on top in the rain.

I've had a metal/ texteline set in the past and was quite impressed at how well it held up. It didn't fade at all Shock If you have a bigger Wilko near you they usually have the sets on display so you can gauge the quality.

They did have all garden furniture with free home delivery last week but it looks like it's been limited to selected sets only. I think Argos and Asda have some identical sets so that might be an option if it's closer.

The one thing I've found with the cheaper sets (4 and 6 seater) is that the tables aren't very big and struggle to accommodate 6 place settings plus serving dishes, drinks, bbq stuff and condiments. I'd recommend picking up a second smaller folding table at some point that you can put some of the sauces etc on to pass round Grin

£100 set

£150 set I can't really see that much difference between this and the £100 set, not enough to justify £50 Grin Maybe it will be reduced next weekend Wink

£175 wooden set - no parasol

£200 set this might be reduced a bit for the bank holiday?

I promise I don't work for Wilko! If I see any adverts for Bank Holiday garden furniture deals I'll add them here Grin

Wooden set from Argos last bank holiday. Think it was reduced to £150 though. Lovely set. I didn't go for the others linked as I need to move it on and off the garden regularly and the others were a lot heavier (glass tops I think)
