What colour would you paint this patio furniture?

I can't make up my mind! It has a clematis Montana as a spring backdrop, so I bought a pale pink tester to match. I also tried a darker lavender colour. DP said no to both unsurprisingly Grin

It just feels too dark for me, especially when it's wet. What would you do?

Sage green. Nice and fresh but would need refreshing more often. Darker green would be more practical and you could add paler seat cushions.

I did wonder about a darker green with a cream cushion (mainly because I have a 'woodland green' already in the shed) and maybe painting the table cream to keep it brighter.

I'd do it a nice, strong blue, like this one, www.diy.com/departments/cuprinol-garden-shades-barleywood-matt-wood-paint-50ml-tester-pot/264986_BQ.prd

I think it would contrast nicely.

Sage green or darker, I strongly dislike blues, pinks etc on garden woodwork.

Are you DP Wh0? Wink

I do agree with blue though (sorry New!)

I like pinks and purples in the garden (as in flowers) so I thought that's why I'd like pink or purple furniture too, but it just doesn't feel right. I think a darker green would look nice against the cream house, but I'm not sure if it would blend into nothing against the green hedges behind. But maybe if the table is cream with a plant on top, it doesn't really matter if the chairs blend in to the background a bit...

Hi Gin. Ours was all painted sage green and then the cushions are striped in cream, green, pale pink and bright pink. It was a sneaky way of getting the pink in but it worked!

why is everything rude soft grey ohyes? and how much rude stuff do you have in the house? Shock

Ooooh I'm not sure grey would look right in our garden - a bit too modern maybe?

Newt I love the sound of your cushions!

I think I'm going to have to get a sage green paint tester...

Actually, soft grey would be nice.

Cuprinol do a shade called Willow. It's a lovely sagey green. Then jazz it up with seat cushions, umbrella etc.

I just love the colours of Le Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech. I can see it's not really the same style Smile

Do you know, I nearly bought Willow Deux. I can't remember why I didn't in the end Grin I like the Wild Eycalpytus one too.

New I can totally see that in the right style of garden, it could look lovely.

I do actually love that shade of blue but think it's best confined to small touches, not large items like furniture and sheds. So for example this is my herb garden (complete with 15 year old chives!). But the rest of the garden is resolutely green and brown apart from flowers.

I'll take one if the rain ever stops!

Some of the cushions are in this fabric. Others are in the same fabric but with the cream as the base colour and very little green and so they look mainly pink and cream

Used the same fabric on some other chairs. The pink stands out much more than the green in the sunlight.

Dunelm Mill, not expensive.

Came on to say blue (mine are blue, my shed is green and we have a yellow playhouse). But looking at your house I agree with the sage green suggestions.

I'd go a few different pastel colours. But then I am indecisive!
