Ants nesting in roots of crassulata argentea (jade plant) pot! Help!

This plant lives in my conservatory, and has very recently (2 weeks ago?) developed a serious ant problem. The dirt on the green saucer has all come from the drain holes in the pot in the space of a couple of days.

Any ideas what I can do? Most ant killer preparations seem to be to get rid of sugar ants in your kitchen; I have been advised to drown the plant in water (it's a succulent so probably wouldn't appreciate too much of a dousing); some people have suggested I take the plant out of the pot and <gasp> hose off all the soil, and repot in fresh.

WWYD?

I'd take it outside, onto some grass and hose off the soil, clean the pot and repot.

Would you hose it all off?

Apparently you can buy ant nemotodes ,tho this pack is rather more than you'd need .
