Dying Peony (photo attached)

Please can any advise what I can do to help save my poorly looking peony? I'm not very green fingered but really love them and don't want to kill it off! sad

They die back over winter and re-grow in spring. I leave the dying top growth as it helps protect the new shoots in early spring, and cut it back after the frosts have ended.

It looks VERY dry, and it may want just a bit of water?
