I have a raised flower bed and have found this plant/weed running all the way through my lobelias and dahlias and other plants. It seems to be root throughout and seems most tangled amongst the flowers!!! Help I'm a novice wannabe garden but haven't got a clue what I'm doing.

Can anyone identify this weed or plant and advise me how to get rid of please

It's buttercup. They have shallow but hard to pull roots. If you get the main stem out then it's not a problem if some of the roots snap off - so long as you get the main stem that all the roots sprout out of.

They spread by sending out stems, so you need to remove each new plant individually.

Best way I found is to stick a little fork in next to it and lever up slightly to loosen soil, then pull them out. Then you can tamp the soil back down with minimal disturbance to the plants they're involved with.

If you just try to pull them then you'll end up with a handful of leaves and leave the stem to merrily resprout. :)

Yes, it's creeping buttercup. It's a pest but you can beat if if you're persistent in digging it out.

I actually knew this one!
I have loads of it rampaging across the lawn - it's amazing how long the roots trail for isn't it!!

Yes to teasing it out as yanking the bugger just brings up everything sat on top of it
Good luck!
