Are these plums?

Quite new to gardening! But we've been in our house just over two years and for the first time some small trees in our garden have some fruit on them - are they plums? (Photo attached!)

I would second greengages. Which I think are basically green plums.

Oh! How exciting! I will read up on them, thank you ☺️ I just thought they were slightly ugly trees for a long time!
