So, our new neighbours have chopped down the lovely hazel hedge which formed a pretty boundary between our houses, and put up a tall fence. Which is their prerogative, but it's bloody ugly.
Currently, half the bed is planted up (to the left of the photo) and the other half is still in the state as when we bought the house, with pebbles, weeds, weed surprising plastic (!) and nothing going on. Ugly concrete path running along it, which we'd be prepared to get rid of (no idea of price to do that?).
South-facing. Gets lots of sun but not in 100% sun.
Ideas so far are: grow something up the fence - clematis? Er, that's all our ideas so far! Not sure what the law is on growing things up your neighbour's fence? Can we attach a trellis?
All other ideas most welcome!
