What plant would like to live in my bathroom?

I got an aloe vera plant which was brilliant for about a month but has now sort of collapsed and all the bits have come out of the soil. Don't know what happened but it either didn't like me or didn't like the bathroom! It's east facing but the plant would be on a shelf not on the windowsill. Any ideas for something easy to keep?

ferns like bathrooms

I think anything succulent/catcus like might find it too moist and rot....sounds like that happened to the aloe.

Orchids are very pretty though.

Gardenias love the steam and their fragrance is amazing. Needs decent light though, water with rainwater and feed weekly with an acid feed during the flowering season which is now.

A peace lily - ours has been going strong for ages.

Definitely an orhcid! I have shocking form as a killer of houseplants, but the orchid given to me in June 2013 went straight onto the bathroom windowsill and is thriving still! Seldom gets watered; the steam from the daily shower appears to take care of all its needs.

air plants?! Tillandsia. They like a lot of humidity and indirect light (think forest canopy) and don't need any soil. I also second a peace lily. Have had one for years by my bath.
