(Please don't kill me for using the C-word) - festive pots?

I am wearing my flak jacket for this one. I am aware of the perils of mentioning the C-word (Christmas) in June!

However, I'd like to do some pots for people this year. My BIL's partner is a super fella - really, really talented and arty and always makes everyone lovely Christmas presents by hand showing his love and care. I always feel like I haven't made enough effort.

So this year I am doing everyone a winter POT!

But what to put in it? Spring bulbs are one thing - but what else, to give structure and some leafiness in December? Now I have a greenhouse I can think about growing some things from cuttings or seeds. But if I'm going to do that, I need to get moving!

My C-Word pot has a dwarf conifer in the middle (the thriller), Trailling ivy around the edge (the spillers) and cyclamen filling up the gaps (the fillers). Remember - you need a thriller, the spillers, and the fillers.

However, I think you should give everybody a Bokashi Bin instead. Grin

Thriller, spiller, and filler! Love it!

But silly Cupcakes. They all already have bokashi bins OF COURSE.

When my Dad unwrapped his present and found the Bin of Wonder inside, there was a moment of wide-eyed surprise. Bordering on shock, I would say.

I was like "I know, I know, you can't put how you feel into words. Don't try. You're welcome!"
