Painting a wooden fence

We're getting 180meters of wooden fence put in that needs painting. Has anyone used those spray painters? Or should we stick to brush and pot? Thanks

Spray it but make sure there's notjing the otherside that may get contaminated.

ronseal sprayer good, although other brands are of course available.

If you go for the spray option then you do need to make sure you use the right paint, you can't just slacken off the stuff you put on with a brush although many people have tried and then bring the unit back to the shop saying they can't uderstand why it isn't working

also clean it out properly otherwise they sieze up

ronseal and cuprinol are pretty much of a muchness but for 180m I would go for a powered sprayer rather than a pump one

Thanks Workshy, I'll look into that. I'm still getting over the thought of the fencing bill!

Personally I would use a brush. It does take forever but I have heard too many stories of friends and their neighbours cars/windows/ garden getting covered in paint too I didn't want to risk it. As I said it does take a lot longer than I thought it would but you have much more control and more choice of paint. Think we got ours 3 for 2 and the sprayable paint is more expensive if I remember.
