Mmm!
ours are on the turn but I've had some British ones from the greengrocers & they are always so much nicer than you remember.

It really was so much nicer than Saino's. I might allow DS to have the next one, which looks about 2 days off.

We're not even in a particularly tropical climate.

My sons picked our first one today too and sliced it into four pieces so everyone could try a bit. It was very delicious. We have a bumper crop this year so can't wait for the rest to ripen!

Your son is far less selfish than I am!

We got our first three today too! Now just got to wait a bit longer for the radishes, sweetcorn, tomatoes and courgettes to catch up!

We've had 'em for 2 weeks or so, but not very tasty due to drought, I guess.

Dp picked four the other day and did the 4 of us a taste test against four from Sainsbo's - his won by 3 to 1 and I'm not sure he'll ever quite forgive dd1. :) We've since had two more, which we ate whilst the girls were out!

We've had the first batch of radishes (gorgeous) and have more lettuce and rocket than we can keep up with.

Had broccoli last night but was full of caterpillars( didn't eat them) which made me throw up put me off.

My strawberries are still green but there are loads of them. Very excited, although have had to construct a very Heath Robinson fruit cage out of bamboo and netting as something was nipping them of the plants and just dropping them on the ground (squirrel perhaps?).

Good idea re rocket pesto - loads of mine has just gone to seed as we couldn't keep with eating it!
