Optimistic runner bean planting

Have I been a bit hasty? I did my runner bean canes today, then decided to just sow the beans direct into the soil while I was at it!

Not sure if the sun has gone to my head.

My mum told me off and said I should have waited until Ascension Sunday which apparently is beg June :-o

You might be OK. Whereabouts are you? I am in the SE and will be starting mine at the weekend. :)

I'm going to start mine in pots this week, and also poke some direct in the ground when the pot ones are going into the ground.
You might get away with it with this weather - spring seems to be moving on really fast after that cold winter.

We are in the middle of some fantastic weather- just hope it lasts a bit longer. I have read that I can protect the seedlings with some home made cloches if need be.

Luckily have got some spare beans if these all fail!

I just love getting the canes up. Makes me feel ready for summer!
