Gardening

Disease? :-(

Am a newbie to gardening and since moving in here in April I have put in a lot of work in the garden.

a lot of my plants are covered in black spots . My courgettes and beans and some flowers are definatly infected, and I will be checking others this evening when the DC are asleep.

Does anybody know what this is? I will be gutted if it means we can't eat the fruit and veg I have put so much effort into growing

My courgettes are almost ready too I think. Or were anyway.

Tried googing it but didn't find out much useful info?

Are the black spots on the leaves rather than the veg themselves?

The good news is that it won't mean you can't eat the fruit and veg - it will just weaken the plants and make them less productive. I'd just give them a bit of TLC.

Has it been very dry where you are? The plants have probably got stressed and weak through drought, and a virus or something has taken advantage of that to infect the plants.

If you really want to know what it is, you can always join the RHs and email their advice service with a photo. Or you can look at their website here and see if you can spot the disease

Congratulations on growing so much from scratch.
