Hi mums

(Asking for a friend)
Does any one know is there any such grants ect to avail of for a single mother looking to train in something to return to work?
My friend is a single mum of 3, and had no luck in finding anything suitable or the hours she needs to return to work.
She is on benefits and wanted to find out does anyone know of there is any grants or loans you can avail of to go and retrain in something to return to work if your on benefits? To improve her prospects of getting back into employment? Thankyou

I would recommend your friend to make an appointment at her local FE college. Lots of courses are free for people on benefits and they may be able to advise on bursaries/work experience etc.

If she is already in benefits her adviser at Job Centre should be the first port of call
