Hi I'm new to this so not sure how it works properly...

I'm looking for some advice. I'm starting my access to nursing course in august. I have a 2 and a half year old and a single mum. I'm really looking forward to get started but getting nervous as I don't know what to expect. Has anyone done this course that has any advice on how they got on or what to expect??

Thank in advance :)

You'll love it, and get to mert new friends.
My advice is to create a realistic work/study/revision scheduale and stick to it!!!
A little bit of extra study, each week after class will pay dividends when its exam time.

Have fun!

Hi. I did my Access course with a 3 year old and had another half way through. It was the 2 year part time Access I did as I was also working full time. It gets worse. I had 2 terminally ill parents at the time and I went through IVF Shock to have said second DS. All worth it though and for me at a stressful time in my life, a positive distraction. A great course and as it’s a subject you’re interested in you’ll enjoy it more. There may be a massive drop out of students so be prepared, organised and stay focused. Try the part time Access if you think you’ll struggle. All the best SmileWine

I've taught on them.

Everyone is in the same boat in that they have not doe the GCSE-A Level -uni route but you also have a unique story.

You will make good friends and do not be scared to approach teachers/tutors.
