Hiya,

Im wondering if anyone here is a Nurse?
Im thinking of a career change, I've watched so many hospital documentries and it feels like such a rewarding job but what is the actual reality of being a Nurse?

Thanks

Can I follow this purple? I've had a chat with careers wales today and they've pointed me in the right direction to get on the first course I'd need to do to get into nursing. But I've not got my GCSE maths (they want a C) but do have application of number level 2! Anyway I should here with 5/6 weeks if I get an interview.

Is there any particular area you prefer? X x

I'm just finishing my second year of nurse training and love it! Just found
Out I passed an exam today so I'm extra happy (although just by the skin of my teeth).

I'm a nurse and have been for 23 years (wow that makes me feel old!)

I love it, it's the best job in the world. I've done all sorts of nursing and enjoyed pretty much every job. Yes I have shitty days, days when I think I could give it all up but they are outnumbered by the great days, the days when you come home and feel like you've really made a difference.

Happy to chat with anyone about it!

I'm a nurse (in Wales)
I still haven't passed maths gcse Grin
I did an access to nursing, the maths aspect of it was nursing calculations so was no problem

I trained in my 30s and have been qualified 10 years next year
Now in a specialist role

It has its ups and downs, and the government treat us like shit, but the rewarding parts are life changing and that's what I love Smile
