I currently have two jobs in the catering industry - one for an outside catering company and one at a small restaurant.
Although I'm confident cooking for events there are a few holes in my knowledge which I'd like to fill.
I've looked into part time catering courses which include work place assessment. Neither employer would subsidise this but I would be able to fit in a couple of days at college and they would support my training.
Has anyone done this and found it worth while? I don't need a qualification, rather just some formal training as I've had none (apart from food hygiene)
My end goal is to take over the outside catering company when the owner retires.
