Who wants what shift
Who can start early
Who can work a split shift
Who can finish late

Oh poop

i feel your pain, i had to do an awful rota over the summer. i just sent it out and hoped for the best

It's a nightmare

All about qualified ve unqualified

i found it easier to write down their name in a list with times availble and mark off everytime i'd put them down to work

there must be a computer programme out there to do this sort of thing grin i couldn't find it though

I've got a great one - but it's my memory (or forgettory) that is the problem tbh (& possiblythe fact that I am doing it at 9pm on a Friday night)

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:28:19

how many staff are you dealing with? i had 12 to fit in 4 weeks work it was hard to do

DisasterArea Fri 05-Sep-08 21:30:47

i find it a bit like sudoku. can get the first few days right then it all goes wrong and i give up and have some wine.
i have to d 4 weks worth - about 25 trained 15 untrained. some full time. some part time. some only days some only nights. som only mondays etc. nightmare

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:31:11

Only 5 (I had to let 2 go - not sure how long I can keep the other onsad)
But it's got to meet the adult:child ratios and have the right people cooking & I need y assistants to be supervised

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:33:28

it helps if you keep some staff on standby too if they're very flexible

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:34:33

Yeah I know

I think I have too many hour for the staff I have left & too many duties

Going bust is crap

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:37:06

whats happening with your nursery

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:42:02

It's not happening

It all so crap

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:43:46

you should get yourself working for the local council katy

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:45:29

I am but perhaps not in the way you mean

I am temping at the council (reception) in order to pay the wages

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:47:29

probably different here, all councils gagging to prove they're covering all iniatives so they get ££ to cover them

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:48:23

your nursery would be sold out like a shot if it were here lol

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:48:35

How do you mean?

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:49:11

Maybe I should move

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 21:50:53

yes move go on lol
people are very pc in the south

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 21:53:21

What sort of house would I get for £180K.....cardboard box?

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 22:07:50

prices are dropping

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 22:10:11

Not that fast - I have a large 2 bed-room ex-council house with a garden 50ft by 85ft less than 10 miles to the beach and 2 miles to the sailing club

I am so down atm - I need to get a grip

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 22:26:03

you would prob get a house for that the way things are going

KatyMac Fri 05-Sep-08 22:32:42

Nah - I'll stick with the beach, the sailing (& my mum down the road)

But it is tempting

southeastastra Fri 05-Sep-08 22:43:25

we should msn km
