Stolen web site content

I have operated as a sole trader for 26 years with a web presence for 15.
Today I found that someone, not uk based has created a web site and used much of my content, diagrams and manuals word for word. Blatantly taken it straight off my web pages.
I've made an appointment with a IP solicitor but it's not until next week and so in the meantime the web site sits there.
A quick google led me to Us sites offering to get rid of illegal content but tbh I feel out of my depth and weirdly vulnerable.

Any advice and experiences would be really welcome.

Send a DMCA notice to the website host, and they'll take it down.

DMCA, yes, brill that came up in my search, thanks wasn't sure if the info was correct.
So that's maybe all I need to do, not spend ££ on a solicitor.

Yep, that'll sort it smile

Unfortunately I encounter this a lot with work, but the host will take it down and that's enough inconvenience that most people won't bother you again.

Where is the best place to get the DMCA notice from? Apologies for all the questions in a fri night.

Hey - I found this site quite helpful as I was totally clueless as to where to send it etc. smile

Hope it helps.
