I want to send a press release to the local paper but have no idea what my email should say. Any suggestions?

Don't put 'press release' in the subject line; they gets loads every day so might just ignore it. Instead, put the title of the press release - or something that actually relates to the content.

In the text you just need a short message to say something like:

'Press release attached in relation to xxx. If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact me on xxxx'.

Make sure you include all your contact information; including telephone numbers etc.

Great thank you! It's sent so fingers crossed they do something with it because I can't afford to advertise with them unless I sell a kidney.

I would try to follow up too. As scary as that might be. You need to stick out.

Good luck, lets hope they feature it!
