Hi,
Need some advice, my husband and I have just been through our foster care assessment, to foster our granddaughter. we received a negative assessment, our assessing social worker told us from the start we would get a negative assessment, due to myself having 5 previous relationships, i am 56, Also that we would acknowledge that my son had bruised my granddaughters ear. the police were involved and stated they was no evidence of him harming her. but due to social services, doing his parenting assessment while under investigation, it was negative, so he can not have her back.
They have said we haven't looked after children for a number of years so that's against us.
We are the only option our granddaughter has, or she will b adopted.
We need to ensure we get our points over to the panel.
So I wondered if anyone as any advice on questions to ask?
We have done a varied number of courses online. which covers children in trauma, de-escalation, play therapy, and numerous others to help us gain support. ant help will be amazing, our meeting is 4/3/21. thank you
