Our first ever placement arrives in a few weeks. It's a 10yr old girl for 3-5 weeks of respite with the potential for it to turn long term in the future.

I was looking for little things to put in her room to make her feel more welcome and to give her something to do if she wants some downtime alone. I was thinking some soapy stuff and a few activity type of things and while I was browsing I came across this....

I just wanted to add that it was in the top few highest rated purchases on Amazon when you search for presents for 10 year old girl. I wasn't specifically looking for it.

I think that's lovely, really thoughtful, good luck with the placement

I think it's a lovely idea and I'm sure that I had something similar for my daughter at that age and she really enjoyed it.

Our foster son has the Happyself Journal and loves it sometimes if he doesn’t want to talk to his social worker he shows them his journal instead so they can see how he’s feeling without having to say it all again.
